# Privacy

How Patron handles your data.

* **Reading activity stays on your device.** The extension uses the active tab's URL, active reading time and idle state to decide whom to pay, never page contents. Incognito is disabled and sensitive sites (mail, chat, sign-in, banking, health) are never paid.
* **What reaches Patron.** Buying reveals your wallet address and purchase total to the gateway. Blind signatures keep a purchase from identifying a redeemed payment, and each redemption reaches the gateway through a relay that strips your IP address. Neither keeps request logs.
* **Wallets and other services.** Tempo Wallet handles sign-in and authorization; Tempo transactions are public on chain. Link purchases are processed by Stripe and Link, which never receive your reading activity from Patron.
* **Your choices.** Pause Patron, disconnect your wallet or revoke spending keys in Tempo Wallet at any time. Patron never sells reading activity or uses it for advertising.
